Your phone says storage is almost full. You do not need a new phone yet — free some space first.
Do the steps for your phone. Skip the other. This is a short clear-out, not a full backup class.
iPhone
- iPhone: Open Settings.
- iPhone: Tap General, then tap iPhone Storage.
- iPhone: Wait for the colored bar and the list of apps to finish loading.
- iPhone: Tap an app you barely use. Choose Offload App (keeps documents) or Delete App (removes the app).
- iPhone: Scroll the Recommendations section. If you see Review Large Attachments or similar, open it and delete old videos or files you do not need.
- iPhone: Open Photos, tap Albums, open Recently Deleted, and empty it if you are sure those items can go.
Android
Menus vary a little by brand. Look for the same words.
- Android: Open Settings.
- Android: Tap Storage (sometimes under Battery and device care or Device care).
- Android: Tap Free up space or Clean now if you see it — review the list before you clear.
- Android: Or tap Apps, sort by size, open a big app you do not need, and tap Uninstall or Clear cache (cache is safer if you still use the app).
- Android: Open your Files or My Files app, check Downloads, and delete old APKs, PDFs, and videos you already saved elsewhere.
- Android: Open Gallery or Photos, check the trash / Recently deleted album, and empty it if you are sure.
What this guide is not
Not a full photo backup. Not a paid cleaner-app pitch. Not permission to delete family photos you still want — move those first if you are unsure.
Done when
Settings shows more free space than before, and you know where iPhone Storage or Storage lives if it fills up again.
