Business automation

Stop retyping the same email every Friday

If a task happens every week and lives in email, a spreadsheet, or a form, we can probably make it boring — which is the goal.

Automation sounds like a factory. In a small Nicholasville business it usually means: you type the same paragraph, copy the same cells, or chase the same missing field, and you are tired of it.

Find the loop

Write down one week of computer chores. Circle anything you did more than twice. Those are candidates.

Common ones I see:

  • Sending the same “here is how to pay / here is the address / here are the hours” reply.
  • Copying names from a form into a spreadsheet.
  • Building next week’s invoice from last week’s invoice, by hand.
  • Saving email attachments into a folder named for the job.

The smallest fix first

Do not start with software named after a planet. Start with:

  1. A saved reply in Gmail or Outlook for the paragraph you always write.
  2. A template invoice that already has your rates and tax line.
  3. A form (even a simple one) so customers stop texting pieces of information in random order.
  4. Only then a connection between those tools.

I can help you wire the simple version. If a paid expert is the right next step, I will say so instead of pretending a Saturday can replace an accounting firm.

Bring one loop, not twelve. We will finish one.
